About Me
Welcome to the "Butcher's" page, my name is Fredy and I am from Lebanon, since I was a boy of only 9 years old I started to keep and raise gamefowl. I started pitting my birds and through time I became more and more "professional" in the sport. I started with ornamental chicken breeds but then I discovered the Aseel. This was my true passion. I started looking up good information in all sort of books and encyclopedias from France, United States, Great Britain, Holland, etcetera. Its really in my blood this passion for gamefowl. Everywere on my travels I look for them. My very first couple of pure gamefowl were very slow, with an upright fighting style. Using this base I started up creating my own strong, fast and clever strain. After 17 generations I now have superior champions. Sometimes they loose but mostimes they win. When my birds enter the pit. The other side look at my birds with fear. In my country pitting birds is an old and popular pastime for young and old. I have also gathered some knowledge on the sport during work or travelling in other countries of the Middle East like Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrein.
MMy Country
I live in Lebanon, my country is bordering the Mediterrean Sea in the West, Syria in the East and Israel in the South. I come from Zouk Mikael, a city in the Lebanese mountains.

My Birds
In Lebanon some good gamefowl (only for naked heel) is bred. Sometimes birds are imported from countries like Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Gulf states. Selection is hard and rigorous, by this we assure that only the best birds are used for the pit and reproduction purposes.
